This wonderful six-part comedy — eloquently angry and gently absurd — is written by the award-winning comedian Bridget Christie. She plays Linda, who has just turned 50 and is fed up with the drudgery of family life. When her GP tells her she’s experiencing the menopause, she gets on her Triumph and heads to the Forest of Dean in search of a time capsule she hid in a tree as a child. Her destination is populated by eccentrics, played by actors including Monica Dolan, Paul Whitehouse and Jerome Flynn. It’s the perfect vehicle for Christie’s many talents.
