An Ungrateful Woman

An Ungrateful Woman ★★★★

Where the points get angry is with the bubbling new wave of feminist stand-ups, led by the excellent Bridget Christie (★★★★ Stand, 11.10am), who deservedly took home the Foster’s award last year for her husband to polish.

Christie’s new show is looser, combining tales of auditioning for a yoghurt ad with a general unpicking of ad-land’s stupidity.

It comes with a neat twist: she’s been campaigning so effectively against female genital mutilation that her most hated MP, Michael Gove, is helping out.

“That’s the problem with feminism,” she grumbles. “Sometimes it can actually achieve things.”
